Seeing that Shao Siyan had no further instructions, she prepared to leave, only for him to stop her. “Can you cook?”
Cook?
The auntie hesitated.
The Shao family employed an entire team of chefs to manage Shao Siyan’s diet. Her skills surely could not compare.
As if guessing her thoughts, Shao Siyan looked up. “It isn’t for me. Just make some congee, and cook it until it is very soft.”
So it was for the person in the bedroom. The auntie boldly asked, “Does he have a weak stomach? Then I’ll add some red dates and Chinese yam.”
After walking two steps, she turned back. “Shall I make it sweet? Sweet food is easier to swallow.”
How would Shao Siyan know whether Chi Junyan preferred sweet or savory food? He responded carelessly, “Decide for yourself.”
The auntie went to work.
Because Shao Siyan could not tolerate complicated smells, his kitchen was located in an entirely separate apartment purchased next door.
Shao Siyan took only a few more bites before setting down his spoon.
Wiping his mouth, he felt that the flavor was not quite right.
That enticing sweetness was absent, while the rum flavor was too strong and irritated his nose.
He checked the time. It was nearly ten o’clock. Most people would have considered the entire morning wasted.
Shao Siyan had no intention of neglecting his work. He prepared himself to leave.
As for the person in the bedroom, he thought for a moment before summoning Secretary Zhuang. “Put away the important things.”
But some important documents in his study had to be secured.
Secretary Zhuang acknowledged the order and went inside. Before long, Shao Siyan closed the door behind him. “Keep your voice down.”
Secretary Zhuang: ???
After closing the study door, Shao Siyan checked on Chi Junyan. He had taken medicine and remained deeply asleep.
Shao Siyan called the busy Secretary Zhuang again. “Investigate someone named Chi Junyan.”
He casually photographed the card on the bedside cabinet and sent it over.
It looked like identification from another country, complete with a photograph, a number, and an emblem on the front resembling a national seal.
But Shao Siyan knew it could not possibly be genuine identification.
He had never heard of any country whose citizens listed Omega as their sex.
There was even a field labeled “Special Ability.”
Was he part of some secret supernatural task force?
