“It’ll still be a while before we reach the set. Sleep for a bit.” Inside the van, the man beside Lan Che flipped through the schedule. Lan Che, wearing sunglasses, gave a low acknowledgment. Then the man remembered something. “Oh, right. The fourth male role in Night has been changed to Xu Xingzhe from Joyful Dawn Entertainment. Director Hong Zidong asked me to tell you.”

Lan Che removed his sunglasses, his sharp phoenix eyes narrowing. “Wasn’t Yue Han already chosen?”

“Well, look at that. Our Brother Che actually remembered someone’s name from the industry. What kind of insane luck did Yue Han step in?” Luo Fanfan teased.

“The director wanted Yue Han too, but the investors specifically demanded Xu Xingzhe. There was nothing he could do.” A thin layer of frost formed over Lan Che’s expression. Luo Fanfan wisely stopped joking. “But Brother Che, why are you interested in someone like him? That keycard scandal isn’t real, is it?”

A scene surfaced in Lan Che’s mind without warning.

The cold wind had howled. The young man in the pale fuzzy sweater had crossed that bone-piercing wind to stand before him.

A very beautiful young man.

Lan Che’s expression turned faintly reminiscent. Luo Fanfan’s face gradually petrified. “No way?! Brother Che, you really took his room key and used an unspoken deal to sleep with him??”

Luo Fanfan was so shocked it felt like thunder had split the heavens.

Lan Che was a workaholic. For years he had filmed dramas, made movies, and accepted schedules without taking breaks, working even through holidays and festivals. Even in the entertainment industry, that kind of suicidal work schedule was rare.

Through talent and sheer effort, Lan Che had become the first male Chinese entertainer to go international and win a Gold Award.

Luo Fanfan never worried about Lan Che’s love life because Lan Che simply had no thoughts to spare for romance. His schedule was packed so tightly there wasn’t even room for a date, much less sex.

Unless Lan Che was a three-second man.

Yet Lan Che, a sponge from which no free time could ever be squeezed, had secretly gone behind his back and slept with an entertainer through an unspoken deal?!

A male entertainer at that?

And a gutter-tier entertainer famous for being hated over his “Ten Deadly Sins”?

Luo Fanfan’s expression changed unpredictably. Lan Che frowned, put his sunglasses back on, and said, “He found my room key at VV and specifically came to return it. Nothing as dirty as what you’re imagining.”

“How can you fail at something as tiny as feeding pigs? What use are you?!”

“How is this my fault? There are so many people here. Why are you blaming only me?”

Nobody had expected a simple pig-feeding segment to escalate into an endless pig-catching loop.

The production team could barely stop smiling. The more accidents, the better. The more spectacle they could create, the faster their ratings would climb.

Yue Han was still thinking about the direction the pig had run and preparing to catch it when another fierce argument between father and daughter erupted behind him.

“If it isn’t your fault, whose is it? You’re always so clumsy!”

The hot-tempered father and daughter nearly came to blows. Everyone rushed to separate them. Yue Han sighed inwardly and turned his head.

A fist was flying straight toward Li Yihan. Li Yihan’s eyes were bloodshot with rage. Instead of dodging, she moved toward it.

Yue Han yanked Li Yihan aside. In the middle of her fury, Li Yihan had no idea what she was doing.

Yue Han was shoved face-first to the ground.

That patch happened to be muddy and mixed with pig feed. The boiling argument fell silent as abruptly as a pot covered with a lid.

Yue Han gave an almost imperceptible sigh. Cold, sticky muck covered his face, making it impossible to open his eyes. He slowly braced his hands on the ground and stood.

Now everyone could see him even more clearly.

Yue Han’s face was covered in wet gray mud, clumped thickly in places. It was worst around his eyes, where several lumps of mud mixed with scraps of pig feed and vegetable leaves clung stubbornly.

A complete mess.

At a loss.

Deathly silence.

Especially because Yue Han simply stood there with extraordinary calm, unmoving, as if gathering the stillness before a storm.

After roughly half a minute of silence, Yue Han finally spoke helplessly. “Could someone give me a tissue?”

“Huh? Oh!”

Li Yihan hurriedly took a packet of wet wipes from her pocket and handed it over guiltily.

The mud-streaked corner of Yue Han’s mouth lifted faintly, murky liquid sliding downward with the movement of his muscles. “Thank you.”
