Li Yanchuan lowered his gaze and thought to himself.

After resting for a while, sensation returned to Song Nian’s legs. He cautiously moved them and prepared to get down.

But at the exact moment he was about to do so, the room door was suddenly shoved open again with a bang as it struck the wall.

The newcomer seemed extremely anxious. Bracing himself against the doorframe, he gasped heavily and shouted before he had even caught his breath.

“Yanchuan, bad news! The Song family said Song Nian—”

“…ran away.”

Before he could finish, he visibly froze at the sight inside the room.

Who said Song Nian had run away? Wasn’t he right here?

From the newcomer’s angle, Song Nian was currently straddling Li Yanchuan, hands braced on either side as he leaned down toward the man in the wheelchair.

The pose looked exactly like a wall pin.

No, perhaps this should be called a wheelchair pin?

“Hi…?”

The air fell into a strange silence. Feeling inexplicably that he ought to say something, Song Nian silently raised a hand and tentatively greeted the man.

The newcomer looked as though he wanted to say something but stopped himself. His gaze traveled over Song Nian before landing on Li Yanchuan.

“Um… did I interrupt you two?”

“…Qi Ze.”

Li Yanchuan’s temples began to throb. He shoved Song Nian away, turned his wheelchair toward the door, and asked,

“What is it?”

“Hey, never mind now. They said Song Nian ran away. Who would’ve thought he ran straight here to you?”

The man called Qi Ze waved a hand and leaned against the door with his arms crossed, looking amused.

As far as he knew, his friend had been forced into this marriage. He also knew that the young master of the Song family was no innocent lamb and had a long, complicated history with Li Wenguang.

So when Qi Ze heard that Song Nian had fled the wedding, he assumed the man had deliberately chosen to humiliate Li Yanchuan. He had rushed over to warn his friend so Li Yanchuan could prepare in advance.

Who could have imagined that when Song Nian fled his own wedding, he would flee into Li Yanchuan’s lounge?

If Qi Ze had arrived any later, would his friend have been forcibly kissed?

Run away from the wedding?

No wonder the bodyguards had been chasing Song Nian earlier, forcing him to rush into this room without thinking.

Hearing this, Li Yanchuan raised an eyebrow. His unreadable gaze swept lightly across Song Nian beside him.

Oh no. Is he going to misunderstand me?

I didn’t mean to run away from the wedding, QwQ.

Song Nian’s heart skipped a beat. He hurriedly declared his position.

He crouched beside Li Yanchuan and pitifully rested his chin on the wheelchair armrest, looking up at him as he said softly,

“Husband, I was wrong.”

“I won’t run away. I want to marry you.”
