It was like drinking several glasses of orange soda in one breath; Lin Ke’s mood turned dizzyingly sweet. [So are you accepting me or not?]
-Accepting what?
-Wasn’t it written in the letter?
-Oh. I tore the letter up. Why don’t you write another one?
-???
Lin Ke’s cheeks puffed up with anger until he looked like an enraged pufferfish, fury shooting straight to the top of his head. That very day, he deleted Feng Ye from his contacts.
The funniest part was that he still secretly hoped Feng Ye would add him back, but nothing happened afterward.
Lin Ke’s friend smiled suggestively. “Don’t we have PE with Class Three this afternoon? You can ask around and find out what’s going on.”
“What are you talking about? I don’t even care about him.” Lin Ke’s face heated as he shut off his phone. Yet he remembered Feng Ye’s words from that day—“Then that’s fine”—and could not shake the feeling that he had overlooked something.

There was a PE class that afternoon. To high school students, every PE lesson they were allowed to attend from beginning to end was precious. Once they reached Grade Twelve, the PE teacher would mysteriously become ill for an entire semester.
The sun happened to come out during PE. Many students took off their school-uniform jackets before heading downstairs. Luo Yun did not. He merely lowered the zipper on his coat, leaving it slightly open.
School rules said hats could not be worn during PE. Luo Yun had just raised a hand to remove his hat when his head suddenly felt cool.
His soft hair, flattened into disarray beneath the hat, sprang up fluffily. Sunlight fell over it and spread a faint halo of golden dust.
Luo Yun drew a deep breath and looked up. Feng Ye, leaning beside the window, had pinched the pom-pom at the top of Luo Yun’s hat and was swinging the entire hat in endless circles.
Luo Yun: “……..” Was this bastard in elementary school?
Anger simmered in his chest. His eyes darkened slightly, and he could not stop himself from snapping, “What’s wrong with you? Can you be any more childish?”
“You had to take it off anyway. I helped you, and instead of thanking me, you’re insulting me. Tsk, tsk, tsk.” As Feng Ye spoke, the smile at the corner of his mouth deepened. Sunlight warmed his entire figure, softening the sharpness in his deep-set features and taking away some of his usual hostility.
The other students in the class slowed as they passed, covering their mouths to hide their laughter. Feng Ye’s grin was simply too infuriating.
But when someone was handsome, it seemed anything he did could be forgiven.
Quite a few girls squealed shyly. A male Omega took advantage of the commotion to pull up his hoodie and shouted boldly, “Brother Ye, come take mine off too!”
The crowd immediately erupted in teasing noises. One boy laughed and cursed at him, “Could you be any thirstier? It’s like you’ve never seen an Alpha before.”
“I really haven’t seen one this Alpha before!”
Feng Ye did not even glance in that direction. The corner of his mouth stayed curved upward as he thought that an angry Luo Yun was adorable too.
Like a proud little cat.
His eyes were clear and beautiful, and his fluffy soft hair was a light chestnut brown. Feng Ye wished he could pet it the way someone would pet a cat.
Every single thought reached Luo Yun’s ears without missing a word.
Still thinking about petting a cat? I’ll scratch you to death!!!
Luo Yun was pale and thin-skinned, so anger showed easily on his face. His porcelain-white cheeks flushed pink. Su Nong thought Feng Ye had genuinely upset him and pressed his lips together before scolding Feng Ye, “An Alpha like you is going to get beaten sooner or later.”
Feng Ye had not actually intended to make Luo Yun angry. His fingers stopped moving, and he folded the knitted hat before gently tossing it onto the desk. He touched the tip of his nose guiltily. “My fault. How about I buy you milk tea during PE as an apology?”
[Sigh. I can’t even find a proper excuse to buy my wife a cup of milk tea.]
[Am I failing this badly?]
[My grades are terrible. Wife probably hates bad students.]
[I’ll crush them in basketball later and salvage my image a little.]
Luo Yun: “………” He heard every last word. Ha.
