Feng Ye’s voice was deep and magnetic as he gently coaxed him.

As his unease eased and his lashes began to droop, Luo Yun forced himself to stay alert.

Falling asleep like this in a mixed ABO classroom would be dangerous.

Feng Ye’s pheromones made him feel safe. He could try trusting Feng Ye, but he could not trust everyone else.

The thin patch of skin at the back of his neck grew hotter and hotter. A tingling numbness spread from his spine, staining his pale face a soft pink.

He could smell his own pheromones.

A gentle, mellow gardenia-and-milk fragrance, like a sea of pure white petals, rich and silky, threaded through with faint traces of fresh jasmine.

Luo Yun’s long, curled lashes trembled lightly. He narrowed his eyes as he panted, his vision filled with Feng Ye’s sharply defined jawline and slightly prominent Adam’s apple.

His entire body was weak. His fluffy head burrowed into Feng Ye’s arms, and the alpha’s scorching body heat slowly seeped through their clothes.

His soft, tousled hair brushed Feng Ye’s neck by accident, making Feng Ye suffer as well.

The person he had secretly liked for so long was in his arms. That delicate fragrance tempted him every second to open his mouth and use his sharp teeth to mark the omega who had unexpectedly gone into heat.

His gaze, thick with desire, swept dangerously over the back of Luo Yun’s neck.

It was still smooth, flushed peach-pink. His gland had not fully developed yet, but it smelled unbearably good.

The instinct buried in an alpha’s bones screamed at him to try biting. Beneath that soft, snow-white skin hid a faint, enticing fragrance.

Feng Ye clenched his jaw and forced himself to drag his stare away, burying his face in the hollow of Luo Yun’s slender shoulder.

【Sob, sob, my wife smells so good. My fragrant wife. I can only look, not eat!】

【How did he suddenly differentiate into an omega?】

【Good thing I reacted fast, or the other alphas would’ve seen how pretty my wife looks in heat!】

“Feng Ye……” Hearing himself called “wife” over and over made the tips of Luo Yun’s ears burn.

“Hm? What does my wife want?” Feng Ye blurted out, his dark eyes as deep as black obsidian.

The urge to possess Luo Yun grew wildly. Luo Yun’s neck was slender and delicate, his exquisite collarbones forming graceful curves. Feng Ye could not resist leaning closer to breathe him in, every hot breath spilling over his skin.

“Stop calling me your wife. Who’s your wife?”

The tone was perfectly ordinary, yet Feng Ye somehow imagined a hint of coquettishness directed at him. He shook his head to clear it and asked Su Nong behind them, “Do you have a spare suppressant?”

“Yes!” Su Nong bent down and pulled one from his desk.

Feng Ye moved efficiently. He tore open the package and gently slid the needle into the bluish vein beneath Luo Yun’s skin.

Soothed by the alpha’s pheromones and given a suppressant, Luo Yun’s eyes gradually cleared. His cool, refined face once again resembled a handful of fresh snow, except for the lingering red at the corners of his eyes, which still lent the scene an intimate air.

Feng Ye finally came back to his senses and internally screamed over the shameless pet name he had blurted out. Afraid Luo Yun would hate him, he obediently explained, “I called you the wrong thing just now. You know, it was just an alpha instinct acting up……”

“Mm.” Luo Yun lazily glanced at him. Feng Ye had no idea whether he believed him.

Shangguan Yi had gone to notify the homeroom teacher. Feng Ye still held Luo Yun in his arms, greedily enjoying his warmth in the darkness. “Wait a little longer. The teacher will be here soon.”

The hurried click of high heels sounded in the corridor.

“Deskmate,” Luo Yun suddenly said.

“Hm?”

“Thank you for today.”

Feng Ye’s pheromones continued to surround Luo Yun like a transparent film. As the suppressant took effect, the strong floral fragrance gradually faded. The alphas in Class Three could no longer smell the omega’s pheromones for the moment, and their frenzied, restless minds slowly recovered.

They also realized what had happened: an omega in their class had failed to use a suppressant in time and had unexpectedly entered heat. Such an emergency could be extremely dangerous.

The classroom remained pitch-black, filled with murmurs of every volume. Omegas were few and precious; the omegas in Class Three could be counted on ten fingers.

The door was suddenly flung open. Ren Ying stood at the podium and shouted for order. While she restored discipline, Feng Ye and Luo Yun quietly slipped out the back door and waited for their homeroom teacher in the corridor.

“You handled the emergency very well this time.” Ren Ying patted Feng Ye’s shoulder approvingly, then turned to Luo Yun. “We’ve already contacted your family. Your mother will be here soon. Stay home and rest for the next two days, and come back to school after your body stabilizes.”

Luo Yun softly acknowledged her. Ren Ying told Feng Ye to go back first.

Feng Ye frowned and remained where he was. “I’ll stay with him a little longer. I released pheromones to soothe him just now.”

Generally speaking, omegas undergoing differentiation were sensitive, fragile, and anxious. With their sex hormones unstable, they tended to become dependent on the alpha who soothed them.

“I didn’t expect you to be so thoughtful.” Ren Ying quickly understood and smiled faintly.

Her phone rang. Ren Ying answered, and the anxious voice of an adult woman came from the other end. “I’m going to the school gate to meet Luo Yun’s family. You two stay here and don’t wander off.”

The two answered together. After Ren Ying left, whispers rose from the previously quiet classroom, and students sitting beside the corridor windows leaned sideways to peer outside.

“It was the class monitor who had a problem just now, right?”

“I want to slap myself. The class monitor is so good to me, and I was actually thinking all kinds of inappropriate things!”

“Sob, sob, I have to say, the class monitor’s pheromones smell amazing. Sweet summer gardenias! I love it!”

“I’m obsessed! I can already tell the class monitor’s going to get even more popular!”

Students always loved a spectacle. The chatter came in dense waves. Luo Yun leaned against the railing and lowered his gaze toward the magnolia tree planted in the flowerbed downstairs. The faint redness at the tips of his ears had not completely faded.

Everyone had different opinions about whether their pheromone scent should be made public.

Su Nong, for instance, kept the scent of his pheromones very well hidden. Lin Ke from Class Two was the opposite; many students knew that his pheromones smelled like white peach.

Listening to the uninhibited discussion around him, an embarrassed flush spread over Luo Yun’s face.

Feng Ye knitted his brows and turned around, bracing both hands on the tiled ledge beneath the window. The muscles in his arms stood out in clear lines.

He told the people inside, “Stop discussing it. And if anyone dares turn this into gossip for entertainment later, don’t blame me for being unpleasant.”

The students near the window exchanged looks and instantly went as quiet as quail, hardly daring to breathe. They lowered their heads and returned to their homework.

A faint floral fragrance still lingered in the air. Luo Yun fanned himself with one hand. “Do I still smell?”

The suppressant was gradually taking effect, but a barely perceptible scent still hovered around his nose.

“Let me smell. I think there’s still a little.” Feng Ye leaned closer. An alpha’s five senses were comparatively sharp. “Oh, right. I forgot about that. Wait here a second.”

Luo Yun had not even reacted before Feng Ye hurried back to his seat and said something to Su Nong. When he returned, he was holding a square transparent packet.

“Here. This is it. Stick this on to keep your pheromones from leaking out,” Feng Ye said.

Luo Yun accepted the transparent packet. Inside was a pink rabbit-shaped patch.

“This is……?” Luo Yun asked uncertainly. “A sticker?”

Feng Ye looked even more astonished than he did. “A gland patch. You don’t even know what this is?”

Luo Yun touched his nose and said somewhat guiltily, “Isn’t using a suppressant enough?”

“Of course not. Suppressants are for preventing heat. This is what you normally use to keep pheromones from leaking from the gland at the back of your neck.” Feng Ye’s tone carried an unmistakable note of indulgence. “How do you know even less than I do? I’ll put it on for you.”

“I was a beta before, so I never really learned about this.” He had occasionally seen Su Nong wearing one and had assumed it was decorative.

Luo Yun turned around and pulled his collar aside. The peach-colored flush had completely faded from his pale skin. Beneath the corridor’s cold white lights, the back of his neck looked smooth and luminous, the bluish veins beneath the skin clearly visible.

“……” Feng Ye heard himself swallow. The tips of his teeth itched. He looked away, tore open the package, and took out the gland patch. Holding one rabbit ear between the fingertips of his right hand, he carefully tried to line it up.

To make things easier, Luo Yun lowered his head slightly.

The instant he felt the fingertips of Feng Ye’s left hand steadying his gland, it was as though an electric current ran through his tailbone. A tingling, numbing itch spread over his entire body.

Feng Ye played basketball often, and a thin, almost transparent layer of callus covered his fingertips. Those rough fingertips pressed firmly against the soft gland at the back of Luo Yun’s neck.

It was as though a switch somewhere inside his body had been flipped. Luo Yun could not help throwing his head back with a soft cry. “Mmh…… gentler.”

His voice was soft and light. Feng Ye felt as though a feather had gently brushed across his heart.

Unable to resist, he pressed lightly again. Luo Yun’s scalp tingled and his legs nearly gave out. He let out a faint breath, assuming Feng Ye simply did not know how to use the gland patch, and urged him, “Are you done yet? Hurry up and stick it on. This is really ticklish.”

“Oh, right. Almost. I’m putting it on now.” Feng Ye’s ears turned red. After lining it up, he pressed the pink rabbit patch into place.

The softness seemed to linger on his fingertips. Feng Ye’s Adam’s apple rolled as he pressed his dry lips together, reluctantly withdrawing his hand. “Done.”

“Mm. It feels like my skin is covered up. A little stuffy.” Luo Yun reached back to touch the patch. Its surface was smooth and slick.

Suddenly, Feng Ye grabbed his wrist. Luo Yun blinked. “What?”

Feng Ye lowered his gaze, sounding hesitant. “Well…… I think I put it on a little crooked. Should I take it off and put it on again?”

“No need. It doesn’t matter if it’s crooked. It still works.” Luo Yun refused.

“Oh. Fine.” Feng Ye sounded disappointed.

【Mmh, I really want to touch the back of my wife’s neck again. It’s so soft.】

Luo Yun froze, unsure how to react. His dark lashes trembled lightly, and the fingertips hanging beside his trouser leg turned red and quietly curled inward.

【And my wife sounded so good just now! It made my scalp tingle.】

Feng Ye kept thinking to himself. The thoughts he had suppressed all evening began stirring restlessly. His imagination ran wild, replaying Luo Yun’s damp cheeks and hazy, misted eyes frame by frame in his mind.

The more he thought, the hotter his body became. Feng Ye had barely lifted his eyes when he met Luo Yun’s murderous glare.

“……What’s wrong?”

Luo Yun angrily pulled up the hood of his sweatshirt. The brim covered the pink tips of his ears, leaving only the clean line of his delicate jaw visible.

I’m going to kill you!!!
