The juvenile period of a giant dragon was very short.

The eggshell could provide enough energy to help the young dragon grow rapidly after hatching.

Dragon Baby's size changed every day. It had now finished eating all the eggshell and was flapping its wings to learn flying.

"Dorian."

The black dragon flew into the cave.

"Black Dragon Auntie." Dragon Baby's claws tiptoed on the ground, struggling to fly upward, "I'll soon be able to fly like you!"

The black dragon smiled kindly. From the scales resembling the former leader on Dragon Baby's body, it hallucinated the image of that powerful giant dragon: "You will definitely become strong."

"I only want to learn to fly, then fly to Han Han's side." Dragon Baby chirped, spewing a mouthful of crimson breath.

Hearing the pronunciation "Han Han," the black dragon's expression changed drastically.

Its gaze turned to the "treasure mountain" in the cave.

The shiny treasures the dragon race had given Dragon Baby were all piled there, and at the very top of the treasure mountain was a cloth doll.

Complex emotions surged in the black dragon's heart: "Dorian, that thing was given by 'Han Han'?"

"Yes." Dragon Baby excitedly ran to the treasure mountain and showed the black dragon the doll, "Pretty, right?"

"There's a human scent on it."

"So Han Han is a human! No wonder he doesn't have wings, and his claws are different from ours. His skin is soft, and it feels so comfortable to touch Dragon…"

"Dorian!" The black dragon lowered its tone, "In the war of destruction, it was the human dragon knight who betrayed the dragon race and started the war, causing your parents' deaths."

Dragon Baby's wings drooped, wilted: "But, but Han Han is definitely not that kind of bad human… He gently gives me kisses and praises me as the cutest dragon baby…"

"He wants to use the power of the giant dragon!"

"No! I'm not a stupid cub. I can feel how much he truly loves Dragon Baby!"

Dragon Baby tightly protected the doll under its body and spewed a ball of dragon flame at the black dragon.

The dark purple flame contained unfathomable energy. Passing over the cave entrance, a ring of rock instantly turned to ash and was blown away by the wind.

The black dragon flew out in time, dodging the dragon flame.

It was still shaken: "It hasn't learned to fly yet, but can already release such terrifying power…"

Dragon Baby's throat was brewing the next attack: "You're not allowed to doubt Han Han, and even less allowed to speak ill of him!"

"Dorian."

The black dragon slowly landed at the cave entrance: "Do you want to see him?"

"!" Dragon Baby's ears perked up.

"I'm not comfortable letting you contact a human alone, and you also want him to be by your side, right?"

The black dragon suggested: "Let's find him."

The temperature of the dragon flame in the cave subsided.

After a long silence, Dragon Baby's slightly uneasy voice came out:

"How do we find him?"

…

"We're here. Ahead is human territory."

Above the clouds, the black dragon held Dragon Baby, circling above the Norris Kingdom.

"Han Han is over there?" Dragon Baby couldn't help but howl, "I'm coming—"

"Quiet! Don't let the humans discover us."

Dragon Baby nodded and hugged the doll tightly.

The black dragon found a quiet clearing to land: "At this distance, we can find him by scent. Dorian, put it on the ground."

Dragon Baby reluctantly put down the doll, worried: "It won't break, right?"

"Don't worry. We're just borrowing the scent on it."

After saying this, the black dragon chanted an incantation in a low voice.

Ancient dragon language, accompanied by magic, materialized in the air, obediently arranging itself around the doll.

"Mysterious dragon power, help me light the trail of scent."

The light of the dragon characters extended toward the doll, forming a complex magic array.

"Wow…" Dragon Baby was about to exclaim when a thin magic thread from the magic array wrapped around its claw.

It shook its claw hard: "Black Dragon Auntie, what is this!"

"Scent-tracing magic. It can find the creature that has contacted the item."

The black dragon stared intently at the magic array: "Next, a guide to 'Han Han's' specific location will appear."

One big and one small dragon waited attentively.

One second, two seconds… one minute, two minutes…

"Black Dragon Auntie, did the magic array fall asleep?" Dragon Baby asked weakly.

"It shouldn't be…"

The black dragon restarted the magic array, but still only a magic thread connecting to Dragon Baby appeared.

Dragon Baby's urgent emotions overflowed: "That's the toy Han Han made with his own hands. It definitely has Han Han's scent on it."

"I know. I can smell that it's human, but magic doesn't make mistakes—"

The black dragon hesitated: "That human… perhaps doesn't exist."

"Impossible." Dragon Baby's claws repeatedly scratched the soil, repeating anxiously, "Impossible!"

"Don't worry, maybe it's a distance issue. He doesn't live with other humans…"

"Crack."

A faint sound interrupted the black dragon's thoughts. It immediately shielded Dragon Baby, alert: "It's the sound of a magic recording stone. There are humans nearby. Let's go!"

"But we haven't found…"

"Go!"

Dragon Baby hurriedly ran to the middle of the magic array. Just as it scooped up the doll, the black dragon grabbed it and flew toward the direction they came from.

…

Two hundred years later.

"That was the last time the human race witnessed a giant dragon near the Norris Kingdom. Unfortunately, the dragon left too quickly. Only a photo of the magic array was recorded, but no dragon was captured."

Eugene clicked his tongue regretfully: "According to the witness's description, it was a giant dragon with pure black scales."

Jiang Han paused his note-taking and looked up: "What color are giant dragons usually?"

"Most are mixed colors. Dragons with a single color all over their bodies are more powerful. For example, the black dragon mentioned earlier definitely held a high position in the dragon race, and there's only one."

When Eugene said this, his enunciation became hesitant: "No, is there only one black dragon… Wait, let me confirm."

"Confirm?"

How to confirm?

Before Jiang Han could ask, Eugene covered one eye with one hand and concentrated on the eye with the spectacle frame.

"Dragon race, adult giant dragon, pure black scales." Eugene muttered.

An incredible scene appeared.

The prism in the brass frame rotated, refracting a beam of light into the air. As the lens angle changed, the beam suddenly expanded into a flat phantom.

A faint black shadow appeared.

"Yes, only one black dragon."

Eugene nodded firmly: "Let's continue the class…"

"Please wait, teacher." Jiang Han was dumbfounded, "What was that magic just now?"

"It's my ability."

Eugene took off the frame and wiped the lens with his sleeve corner, in a tone of shared affliction:

"I'm just like you. The talent I awakened was mocked by everyone as 'trash.' If a knowledgeable teacher hadn't been willing to let me join the course, I might have dropped out long ago."

Jiang Han asked, puzzled: "An ability that can reflect dragon images—how could that be a 'trash' talent?"

"It looks cool, but it's actually useless, gah-ha—" Eugene laughed at himself.

He pinched the frame and showed it to Jiang Han: "I can see life forms matching the characteristics through the prism."

"No matter how far, no matter what race, you can find them?"

"As long as they exist on the Western Fantasy Continent."

Jiang Han's lips trembled, emitting a breathy sound: "A bug-level ability…"

"Except for occasionally helping the Adventurers' Guild check whether missing adventurers are alive, it's useless the rest of the time."

When talking about his talent, Eugene unconsciously hunched his back a little.

"Teacher!"

Eugene looked up and crashed into a pair of eyes sparkling with starlight of admiration.

Jiang Han clasped his hands together, as if witnessing a legendary-level talent: "That's amazing!"

"Cough cough." A suspicious red tinged the edges of Eugene's ears, "When you need this ability, you can find me anytime."

"Can you help me check if there's a young dragon with dark brown scales?"

"Dragon race, juvenile period, dark brown scales."

Eugene repeated the target characteristics. The prism began refracting images—

Like a mosaic, it could never map a certain form.

"No."

The flame of hope in Jiang Han's eyes flickered on and off. He unwillingly pressed: "My description was too vague. The little dragon's wing edges are darker in color, and its dragon horns are especially cute…"

"No." Eugene interrupted him, "My ability has never made a mistake. Throughout the entire Western Fantasy Continent, there is no dragon race like the one you described."

[You can treat the cubs that appear in the APP as electronic pets.]

[You cannot find it outside the APP.]

[Try as you might.]

Jiang Han lowered his head, his eyelashes casting shadows on his eyelids:

"Thank you, teacher."

"However, I have heard of a dragon race with dark brown scales, but not a young dragon—an adult giant dragon."

"!" Jiang Han's expression froze, "An adult giant dragon?"

Could it be…

"Yes, the famous current dragon race leader of the Western Fantasy Continent."

Eugene suddenly hugged his arms and trembled all over:

"It is cruel, violent, especially two hundred years ago when it first became the dragon race leader. Wherever it went, corpses littered the fields. It destroyed the living places of several races.

Everyone calls it the 'Dragon of Calamity.'"

"I see." Jiang Han calmly picked up his pen and took notes.

Dragon Baby was a clingy little crybaby. It knew Jiang Han's body was more fragile than dragons, always carefully controlling its strength. Its teeth and claws never hurt Jiang Han.

Cruel? Violent? Dragon of Calamity?

That definitely wasn't his Dragon Baby.

"Electronic pet, huh?"

Jiang Han drew a chibi little dragon in his notebook and smiled lightly:

"Even if it's an electronic pet, it's still a living cub."

Magic Beast Forest

One high-tier magic beast after another prostrated on the ground, unable to lift their heads under the terrifying pressure.

"Who sensed it?"

Like a low-frequency tremor from the abyss, it brought natural bloodline suppression to the magic beasts:

"Speak. Who was it?"

"I!" The Iron-Winged Ghost Bird raised one wing, trembling so much its feathers fell in a shower, "I, I, I, a few days ago when I flew past the human kingdom, I sensed a pressure very similar to yours."

The impatient voice said: "Yes or no. What do you mean 'very similar to mine'?"

"Because, because it was only an extremely faint aura, as faint as a few drops of saliva. And…"

The Iron-Winged Ghost Bird gathered courage, lifted its eyelids to look at the giant dragon ahead—

Deep brown scales crisscrossed with several ferocious scars. Its sickle-like curved giant claws could easily shred the Iron-Winged Ghost Bird's proud defense.

It was the "Dragon of Calamity" that could destroy everything.

The Iron-Winged Ghost Bird quickly withdrew its gaze, pressing its head even lower: "And the pressure I sensed, compared to yours, seemed very immature. Like…

A juvenile version of you."

The Dragon of Calamity was silent for a moment: "You stay near the human race and pay close attention."

"Yes!"

"Bang!"

A giant claw stomped beside the Iron-Winged Ghost Bird, dust flying: "You, if there's any situation, go to Dragon Island and report to me."

"Yes!"

"When you reach Dragon Island, report my name directly. Other dragons will bring you to see me."

The giant dragon flapped its wings, the whirlwind sweeping the forest: "My name is Dorian Leo Nis Bernardot."

The hurricane scattered its next pronunciation:

"Also known as Dragon Baby."

Iron-Winged Ghost Bird: ?

High-tier magic beasts: ???
