Work Review: Long Ming wakes from sleep to discover that he has turned into a weak, pitiful, helpless—but exceptionally voracious—dragon cub. After being taken in by a goblin, he temporarily settles in the Hell Mountains. By a stroke of fate, he later rescues a severely injured mermaid named Oreo, and the three very different creatures begin living together. Meanwhile, the dragons, having sensed the birth of a cub, travel thousands of miles to the Azerik Continent to search for one of their own. A proud and hot-tempered great black dragon, a gentle emerald dragon, and a very strange human form an equally strange group as they search for traces of the cub. The novel has a fresh premise and a smooth writing style, with clean, concise language that remains lively and entertaining. It is full of amusing moments and adorable details, while the interactions between its characters are warm and healing. The foolishly lovable protagonist, who possesses a pure and innocent heart; the hardworking goblin who is completely unlike what outsiders imagine goblins to be; and the mermaid who loves studying despite being gravely wounded form a warm, affectionate little family in another world. Through the eyes of a young dragon, readers can also glimpse the mysterious wider world of Azerik. It is well worth reading. ====================
