The dormitory already contained all the basic furniture and household items. Smaller personal things such as pots, bowls, ladles, basins, towels, and toothbrushes were not included. Among larger items, only a computer was absent. These all counted as private belongings, so students had to buy and bring their own.

Qi Jun had brought the towel, toothbrush, and even the toothpaste he used in the bathroom at home. Computers were no longer divided into desktop and laptop models. The entire machine was built into the back of a screen. You could use the touchscreen or connect an external keyboard and mouse, and the unit was light, so he had brought his with him. In other words, what he now needed most were pots, bowls, and utensils. Those were necessities for him. But first he wanted to investigate whether it was cheaper to eat at the school cafeteria or buy raw ingredients and cook for himself. Food already tasted this terrible. He refused to spend even one extra point on it.

He had just stuffed his clothes into the wardrobe and put his toiletries in the bathroom. Before he could even set the computer on the desk in the bedroom, his phone rang.

Qi Jun still was not completely familiar with this world’s phones, even though they resembled the ones from his previous life. He accidentally pressed the wrong on-screen button, turning an ordinary call into a video call. “Senior Qiu? You finished already?”

Qiu Bao had not expected Qi Jun to activate video. When the fair-skinned, tender-looking junior appeared on her screen with a surprised expression, inspiration struck and she tapped the screenshot button. “How long could it take? I sent you the electronic map. Ask me if you have any questions! Ah, I’ve got another call coming in, so I’m hanging up. Remember, if you have any problem at all, you absolutely have to ask your senior~!”

The figure disappeared from the screen, and Qi Jun smiled. She really was warmhearted. Like Qi Tian, she was a cat-eared girl. He wondered whether cat-eared girls were more popular in this era. With this senior’s looks and figure… she probably had plenty of suitors. Unfortunately, he was a pure human. In this world, he did not qualify to marry a female. Still, it hardly mattered. His face was scarred now, and in an era with such excellent genetics, probably nobody would be interested in him anyway. As long as he mastered a useful skill and could live without worrying about food or clothing, that would be enough. He had heard that the retirement system here was excellent.

Following the electronic map, Qi Jun quickly found the finance office in the school administration building. Because it was vacation, only a few teachers were on duty. The system was automatic anyway. He raised his hand and scanned his chip. Confirm and Cancel buttons immediately appeared on the electronic panel, along with the dormitory fee for one semester—five months. The total was 2,500 points. That really was quite reasonable.

After leaving the administration building, Qi Jun found the West Campus supermarket only two hundred meters away. The moment he entered, he was struck by how exaggeratedly huge it was. A sign at the entrance explained the layout: food on the first floor, clothing on the second, household goods on the third, electronics and equipment on the fourth. The fifth floor was even more astonishing—it was a consignment area for handmade goods. This university was ridiculously considerate. Students could even make things themselves and sell them there?

The fifth floor could wait for another time. Right now, the first thing Qi Jun needed to browse was the food section.

The sight was overwhelming. Various kinds of meat occupied two thirds of the entire area. It was practically a gigantic meat warehouse. Although all the refrigerated cases had transparent covers, merely looking at them made the place feel cold.
